About the Photographic Artist

Joan Rudder-Ward, MBA, CPP, is an award-winning photographic artist, who has been creating art, in some form, for as long as she can remember.

She began her visual communications company, The Image Maker, in 1985 which began as a full-service photography studio. Her business has evolved to its current state of creating inspirational art work, commissioned portrait art, and hosting creativity-based personal development workshops for girls and women.

Joan has earned the Certified Professional Photographer designation from the Professional Photographic Certification Commission. She accomplished this after meeting rigorous requirements measuring her artistic, technical, ethical, and business competence. The Certified designation is held by fewer than 2,000 photographers worldwide.

In addition to receiving various awards over the years for her photographic art, and the photography-based personal development programs she designs for youth, Joan also received designation as 2013 Digital Artist of the Year from Inland Empire Professional Photographers and Videographers
